Death

Death

Is not just about the end of one’s life, but especially in the west, and with western Abrahamic religions in particular, that is the way it is regarded. In the simplest and easiest term, it is going to sleep and never waking up. Friends and relatives are left to manage unsettled affairs and dispose of the physical body, the container for the soul reincarnated into it at birth.

Death also means transformation, transmigration, change, change the things that are not working for you. It is the decision to leave your company to go to another or to start your own business. Death can also mean retirement, at the end of a long working life.

Yes, we may stay in contact with people we worked with but as their lives move and we no longer share the stresses and decisions of the working environment, we become less and less connected to them. Annual get togethers have smaller and smaller numbers of attendees until there are none, or, someone just doesn’t bother to organize it one year.

Most people would not refer to retirement, or leaving to go to another company as “Death.” But it is an ending and Reiki has a role to play in both the process that is happening as you move on to the next phase of your life. Reiki has a role in all the things you would like to end and the manifestation of what follows. Focus on the new, not what has gone. Do not cling to the old as if it were a crutch that helps you walk.

Accept what is to change and encourage it by focusing on the death of what is to go. Release the pain and resistance that is holding you down, holding you back. Now, we have talked of death and endings, but transformation into something new can also include the death of something no longer serving us. Remodeling a home would fit into this.

Now is the time to release… Now is the time to move forward.

Clear your space of negative energies. Smudge it with Sage, if you cannot do it yourself, as for someone attuned to Reiki, attuned to the Master Teacher level.

If you have a journal, prepare a new page and list the things that are to be released, all the things that are not working for you, all the things that have to die in order for you to move forward without any burdens. Immediately after that page, start a new age with all the things you want to manifest in your life. As the old ends, so the new must make itself present.

  1. Find somewhere that is quiet and you are free from interruption.
  2. Ask Archangel Michael to stand guard over you while you are releasing. Ask him to make sure there are to be no interruptions, no meddling, no interference. He will protect the session.
  3. Quiet your busy mind. Quiet the egoic mind.
  4. If you are attuned to Reiki, level 2 or higher use the power symbol Chokurei to give the session energy and empower your intentions. If you are not et attuned to Reiki, affirm your desire, and intention that these endings and new starts take place in your life.
  5. Open the journal at the page of endings. Use the power symbol Chokurei again give your intentions for endings… purpose. Place your hand on the page and see in your mind, in your spirit the endings taking place.
  6. Open the journal at the page of new beginnings. Use the power symbol Chokurei again give your intentions for new starts, new purpose. Place your hand on the page and see in your mind, in your spirit, the beginning of new things that you want to bring in to your life.
  7. At the end of the session, close the journal and thank Archangel Michael for standing guard over the session.

A few weeks from now, symbolically, the end of the month is ideal. Open the journal and look at the page of endings and the page of new beginnings. You can if you want tick off the ones that have come to fruition. I prefer to strike through the things that have ended with e black or red pen, and tick the things that are new beginnings with a green one. But you can use whatever is at hand.

Reiki Principles and Gratitude

The Five Reiki Spiritual Principles are that for today, I will not:

The Five Reiki Principles
The Five Reiki Principles laid down by Dr. Usui

Reiki Principles and Gratitude, for what we have and what and who we are just as powerful. We are all happy for different things in our lives. Some feed us emotionally, such as relationships and friendships, others are material things, things that allow us to do things, go places and be happy and connected to others and all the living things that come from Mother Gaia.

Gratitude is energetic, we become more grounded and at peace which shifts our energy both internally and externally.

If you do not see gratitude listed in the five principles, well, I see compassion as a synonym for gratitude.

A simple morning ritual that tells the universe you are happy, and grateful is simply to say “I am alright.”

Let’s see how to Practice!

Take a few moments each morning to…

  • Play with your pets, don’t just feed and water them, and clean up after them. They give us unconditional love. They need some love back. And, they need some gratitude for being the loving animals they are. We are fortunate to live with them and have them in our lives.
  • If you are attuned to Reiki, you may be aware of your guides, they are with you before birth and will be with you after you pass over. Tell them you are grateful for their presence and ask them to help and guide you through the day to come.
  • Make sure your family, your spouse, and children all know that you are grateful for them being part of your life.
  • Think of your health and wellness. All aspects of your health and wellness. If you can run do something dramatic such as run a marathon, or cycle a long distance, or swim, be grateful for the body and spirit in you that takes you to the places those sporting activities take you to. I used to cycle long distances, 100km or more. The journey and the places I saw were as important as the end goal. I was then and still am very happy with this wonderful body and all that it does to make those things happen.
  • Material things such as our vehicle, money and abundance are all important to us. They are expressions of our work and dedication, to our ability to manifest things that help us go about our modern lives.
  • Food and water, our home, the roof over our head. These are nurturing and sustaining us.
  • To be grateful for experiences life gives us. I will always be grateful for my experiences as a scuba diver, being able to see and do things the majority of people cannot, or do not know how.
  • Be grateful for the things that have come to an end. This can be anything or number of things that are meaningful to you. Sadness may surround your thoughts of a relative that has passed over but we should have gratitude for their lives and what they did and how they lived. We may have ended a job and moved on to another, but now is the time to be happy about the gifts that job gave us in challenges and opportunities to personal growth.

My last thought is for Reiki, it is part of my life, an enjoyable part and something takes my mind to it and every day, for which I am grateful.

In the end I am just grateful for all that I think of. The blessings you think while you close your quiet moment do not have to be all of the blessings you have; tomorrow is another day and you can think of other blessings to express your gratitude for then.

End of the year

It is November. Soon we will enter the twelfth and final month of the year. In that moth we will celebrate many things, including the longest day of the winter, the Winter Solstice.

It is a time for looking back on the past year and forward to the new one. Both require our gratitude, gratitude for what has passed, the good things that have come our way and the way we dealt with the trials and challenges of the past.

What we have learned from the challenges of the past year is both a time for reflection and gratitude. Reflection to recognize what the challenges were, and the outcomes of the way we dealt with them, and what we learned about ourselves as a result. What we learned is not just the moment-by-moment actions, thoughts and deeds of what took place but after the challenge was over what we learned about ourselves and the effect of the challenge on us.

As you look forward to the New Year, there are so many unknowns, even what we do know may change as we move into the details.

First-Footing is a tradition in many parts of the world, from Britain to Sweden, Serbia, and Georgia. There are many variations on what is required to perform a successful ritual. They are described in an article in Wikipedia, search for “First-Foot,” or click here.

But all have some things in common. The person coming into the house in the first few minutes of the New Year should bring with them things that traditionally represent good fortune:

Coal – symbolizes fuel to burn for cooking food and heating the home.

Bread – symbolizes food for the family

Salt – symbolizes the seasoning of food to make it more enjoyable and palatable, but it can also be used for preserving food items such as fish

Fruit cake – a rich fruit cake is a luxury item and symbolizes wealth and celebration. Purchasing the ingredients, cooking and consuming them at a celebration of some kind is good fortune.

Whiskey or alcohol of some kind symbolizes, wealth, good fortune, success and things to celebrate.

Clothing – is particle but also symbolizes wealth, new things to clothe ourselves with

Candles – symbolize light to take us through the dark nights remaining in winter but also the evenings of the New Year to come.

Money – of course this is wealth but also opportunity, if used correctly and for that purpose.

These traditional symbols have come down to us across the centuries. Across those same centuries has come Reiki. Reiki is part of our traditions at this time of year. Its healing energy has supported us during the year that is passing and it will strengthen and help us in the year ahead so long as we ask for help and allow the aid it sends to permeate our bodies, our thoughts and our deeds.

So, lets perform a simple ceremony of gratitude for what has past and for what will come.

First, cleanse your home of any unwanted energies. Go to each room of your home with smoking bundle of sacred herbs, usually white sage. I will usually have a window open, or a door, just slightly to allow the exit of any energies that should not be in the home.

I will usually say something like, “Only beings of Light and Love are allowed in this space, room, hallway, vestibule etc. all others must leave. Now!” I add emphasis to the word Now because I want any such spirits to leave right away, not at their leisure. As I speak, I wave the sage wand in the air so that the scent is disappeared in the room.

Be aware that cupboards, behind doors, closets, attics and cellars must also be cleared.

Incense, light your favorite incense to bring warmth and pleasantness into the home. Light two candles one for the New Year, one for the Old Year.

Sit quietly and clear your mind. If you are attuned and are aware of your guides, invite them to draw close to you.

Invite Reiki energy to join you and also the Archangel Michael to protect a self-Reiki session which you now start performing for yourself. Always remember that you need help and sustenance and healing before you can help anyone else, even a child.

Take your time healing and allowing Reiki energy to enter you and healing anything that needs healing, but especially your mind. Use Reiki energy to help you guide your mind and keep egoic mind from churning on things you cannot change and draining your energy by this useless effort.

Turn your attention to the past year and all the good things that have happened and all the challenges. Look briefly at what you have learned and what you have been blessed with and how you have changed and grown as a result of all that has happened.

Do not dwell in any detail on anything. There is the possibility your busy mind will start churning on the details if you do and that is not what we need.

Now turn to the New Year ahead. Consider all the good things and the changes in you. Think of the year ahead. The year ahead is an opportunity for all kinds of changes in you, new events, new gifts, and opportunities. Also, appreciate the learnings you will achieve from the challenges that will come your way and be prepared to accept them for that.

At the end of the personal Reiki session, thank Reiki energy for being with your though the past year and affirm your belief and feelings for Reiki for the New Year. If you are attuned to Reiki, draw the Reiki Per Symbol and Personal Matters symbols on the palm of one hand with the index finger of the other three times each.

Close the session by thanking Archangel Michael for standing guard over the session.

While we have thought in terms of the New and Old years as the calendar turns over, this Reiki ceremony can also take place at your birthday that marks a year of your life passing and a new one starting.

I wish you all have a wonderful holiday season and a fabulous 2021!

Reiki Healing

When preforming a self-Reiki session, hand positions may be placed directly on the physical body or just over the area specified.  When performing Reiki on others, you must gain permission to do ‘hands on healing’ – otherwise assume all hand positions are done with the hand hovering over the area you are focusing energy toward.

Since Reiki is working solely with energy, it is sometimes much easier to feel the energy flowing both for channeling Reiki energy and also for feeling blockages in chakras when hands are held a few inches away from the physical body as you are now working directly with the client’s energy.

During a self-Reiki session, it is of course appropriate to allow your hands, to touch your own body when you want to direct Reiki energy to a specific location. Reiki energy is intelligent. If you have back pain and cannot reach the location, place them on the front of yourself. Reiki energy will go to the affected place.

If you are working with a recipient other than yourself, touching must be discussed with them and approved before the session starts so they are aware of what will happen.

Suggested hand positions:

Place slightly cupped hands gently over, but not pressing on eyes. This covers Third Eye Chakra.

Move hands to the side of the face, thumbs rest just beneath the ears and palms cover cheeks

With thumbs and index fingers touching, place hands together at the back of the head fingers reaching to crown of head. (Crown chakra and back of Third eye chakra)

Move hands to the sides and front for the

throat (base of hands meeting under chin, fingers reaching to under ear area) *position can also be held lower at collarbone if uncomfortable.

Place hands over breastbone, fingers meeting in center (Heart chakra) Alternatively, hands can be placed over breastbone, side by side, little finger touching thumb of other hand.

Hands placed just below the rib cage, fingers meeting in center (Solar Plexus chakra). Alternatively, hands may also be placed side by side, little finger touching thumb of other hand.

Hands placed just below navel area (Sacral Chakra) either pointing towards each other, fingers meeting at center or side by side, little finger touching thumb of other hand.

Hands placed just over groin area (Root Chakra) pointing down in a ‘v’ fingers touching.

Place hands on the back of lower neck, fingers meeting in between the top of the shoulder blades. (Throat chakra)

Place hands on your middle back, fingers reaching towards each other, touching if possible. (Heart chakra)

Move hands down to just below rib cage, same positioning as above (Solar plexus and Sacral chakra)

Move hands to the base of spine and place in a ‘V’ position fingers touching (Root chakra)

*the following hand positions are not required for a regular Self Reiki treatment however are beneficial for grounding

Sitting and alternating knees, cup hands around the front and back of each knee.

Alternating ankles, cup both hands around the front and back of each ankle.

Alternating feet, place both hands flat along the base of each foot.

Emotional Emptiness

Emotional emptiness can be the result of several things. Loss of a loved one, a loved pet, or a material objects or objects to which we have an attachment is one form of emptiness. An emotional void had opened because of a loss of something. Another form of emptiness is the lack of something we want or need. Lack of a person in our life, such as a father or mother figure, feeling the need for a brother or sister. We feel the need but cannot satisfy it.

Another form of emptiness is a disconnect between what we have and what we expect. We may have more friends and relatives than we need but we feel they are not living up to our needs or wants. We have a higher expectation of what they can do for us than what the person is able to provide.

This may be confusing and hurtful to us because when our expectations are not met, we can soon turn to feeling they do not think as much of us, as we think of them. Either we accept this and recognize the gap between our expectations and what the other person can deliver or we disengage from them. We may also come to terms with the level of expectation we are expecting others to be able to rise to. Perhaps those expectations are too high?

Reiki can help with these feelings and needs.

Reiki can help heal the void of emptiness we feel from a loss, or, an absence of something we cannot find in ourselves or the people and things around us.

The loss of someone or something relates to grief and a void. Reiki can help you focus on the happy memories and the reason why you feel loss. When someone or something leaves your life, it is because it is time for them or it to leave.

Their role in your life has been important and beneficial, now it is time for you to move. An overly strict parent may have been too strict and as a result, you feel scared, but as they pass out of your life, freedom and openness are now available to you. How you will manage your experience and memories with that parent and the life you make for yourself and the way you treat your own children will be defined by your past.

Reiki can help you through this change and forming the new behaviors and expectations you have of your life and others. Let it help you as you grow and change. The emptiness left by the strict parent can be filled with love and caring, openness and an ability to accept.

Emptiness resulting from absence, brings with it longing and sometimes doubt that you are worthy of receiving what it is you feel is missing. If you do not have a close loving relationship Reiki can help you be open to the opportunities to create a relationship with one special person that is around you.

Reiki can help you recognize what is good and fun around you that you can engage with. It will help you meet the person that is right and good for you by your being open to receive, not empty and trying to receive.

Engage with Reiki either as a receiver during an in-person Reiki session, or remotely, let it give you the rest you need to be able to think clearly and comfortably about your emptiness and where it comes from, why and how.

Engage with Reiki as a student and become attuned to Reiki. Teaching and helping others is part of your own healing process, through helping yourself, you are helping others.

Reiki is a flow of universal energy and can permeate all parts of you. It leaves no part of you unhealed when it enters you. While the unexpected challenges and surprises of life appear, it is a constant. As someone attuned to Reiki it something loving and caring ad fulfilling for yourself and loving and caring you provide to others. As you fill your emotional emptiness, so you also fill theirs.

Let Go

Letting go of attachments that are not doing you any good is part of the process of moving on bigger, brighter and new things that come into our life. An old relationship that once defined us but now you have not seen the other person for years, you have not heard from them, they are not part of either your physical or virtual social world and yet you still think of them almost every day.

Why?

It seems they have moved on from you, but you have not moved on from them. And it may not be simply a person. It could be something material. I am a photographer; I did a lot of work and had a lot of fun with some film cameras. I kept them in good cameras bags for years past the time when the world had moved on to digital cameras. But, one day, I decided to trade them in and go digital. Some would say I held on to the too long. If I had traded them in earlier, I would have gotten more for the value of my dear film cameras.

That value for value comparison might have been true but the timing was not right. The digital cameras heralded an explosion of creativity and a desire to get out and take images again. Now, you might say that the explosion of creativity was waiting for me to trade my film cameras in, but the fact was, that the new physical camera and lenses in my hands made me want to go out, the film cameras did not. It was timing. Time to open to the door to getting out and doing what you should be doing and allowing what needs to come into your life to do so.

So, when it comes to releasing relationships, even when they are to physical and material things, we need to consider the timing.

Being open to releasing what should no longer being part of your life is important. Reiki can help. As I became attuned to different levels of Reiki, I became aware of my angels and guides and the roles they play, in my life and their ability to help me.

When I want to release something, anything from my life I will take a moment to do so. Usually, this is in the evening after all the business of the day has ended and before I go to sleep, or, it might be on a Saturday or Sunday. I mentioned those days of the week because there is usually time when the action of releasing can go longer if needed.

Trying to release when I know that in a few minutes I will have to get dressed and leave to go to work can be negative and stressful. It places too much burden on me and my angels and guides. It limits my ability to channel the Reiki energy to the emotions and thoughts I want to release.

When I have quiet time I:

Clear my mind of busy egoic mind. Egoic mind loves to go over and over the same things, churning a mix of confusion and regret, things that are passed and cannot be changed, churning “what might have been, what could have been” but which can never be now.

Recognize what is that needs to be released and engage Reiki to help with this. Ask your angels and guides to be present to help with the release. With your finger, draw Chu Kho Rei, the Reiki Power symbol on the palm of your hand and ask for its energy to help you release.

Recognize what it is you want to release. Remember, what you release is not what you have learned from the relationship with a person or something material. Those experiences will always remain with you. What you are releasing is seemingly never-ending attachment that is stopping you accepting new things and people into your life.

As you release and close off egoic mind from churning on those people and things, consider that you are not empty of the experiences.

As you release, affirm you are open to new people and things entering your life. You are not just open; you are happy and looking forward to and accepting of the changes these new people and things will bring.

There is no fear, doubt, worry, anxiety or confusion about what or why you are accepting.

There is no limitation on what you are open to receive. Reiki will support your free will to reject something that is not good for you. You have that right to say NO, but you have to be open to seeing what you are saying no to. Don’t make the mistake of saying NO before understanding what it is you are declining.

As you used the Reiki Power symbol to add energy to your desire to release, now draw it again on your palm with the intention of giving energy to being accepting of new things coming in to your life.

Lastly, and this can come now or later, recognize that what you learned from the experience of having that relationship or thing in your life is different from what you have released which is attachment to them or it and the churning over what might have been/could have been but which can never be. What we have learned is important, it will always be part of you. What you have released is not important.

Release is part of healing. Do not place any pressure of expectation of how long it will take. It will not be instantaneous, it may be a few hours, or a few days. You know you are healing when you realize you are not thinking about the relationship or the material thing you are releasing.

Close the session by thanking your angels and guides for their role in helping you release.

If you are not attuned to Reiki, book a Reiki Session with a professional. It may be in person or remote. They will help you release what should go. They will help you be open to new experiences entering your life.

Patience

They say, Patience is a Virtue. It is a virtue that is increasingly being forgotten in this world. When you look at job postings, they all emphasize that the job, the company is fast paced and by implication, don’t apply if you cannot keep up. Yet, I never see a job description for a company that operates at a sensible pace and that you will not be worn out and frazzled at the end of the day.

Newspapers are getting thinner, and with less sections. News that once took days to be gathered, reported on, printed, and distributed can now be seen live on TV. If a news program takes less than a few minutes to report on a topic, it is ignored and gone. There is no patience for a more in-depth analysis. If there is no analysis, we do not have the full picture, we do not have the information we require to be able to develop our own opinions.

We are no longer informed and we no longer have balance in the opinions and statements we make because we have not slowed down enough to give ourselves the time, we need to make them.

Our lack of patience extends to just about everything else we encounter. The person at the cashier at the gas station. There is only one cashier because it is assumed that transaction will be completed quickly. If transactions are completed quickly, only one cashier will be employed. So, when a person is having a problem with the passcode on their credit card, a line up quickly forms. Frustration mounts.

All of a sudden everyone involved is annoyed and some are becoming aggressive. Our egoic mind that loves to dwell on problems, errors, frustrations and anger sweeps into action to magnify and amplify what it perceives to be wrong.

Take a moment to diffuse what is happening inside of you and look at life through the moment. Be in the moment. Enjoy the things around you. The sun is out and the weather is mild and nice for the time of year. A lot of effort has gone to getting you where you are today, waiting to be served at the gas station. Breakfast, fresh clothes, you arrived at the gas station free form accident and your car is running well.

There is a lot for you to be pleased about, happy even. The moment when the sun warms you, is a wonderful experience to be cherished and thankful for. Take a moment to thank your angels and guides for being with you and brining you to this moment so you cane experience all that is good.

Be patient with the person at the cashier having problems with their passcode. In the past, that has been you and may yet be again sometime in the future. Of course, your egoic mind says it will not be because you have your pass codes sensibly stored… bit perhaps in the future you may forget this and still have problems.

Use Reiki to help you disengage the egoic mind that is behind so much instability, fear, worry, and doubt. Take some time at the start of each day to separate yourself from that part of you that is annoyed the coffee maker is not brewing as fast as it did yesterday. Separate yourself from the fear, worry, and doubt that you have for the day ahead.

Breath deeply, calm yourself you have not even left the house yet and you are worried about what you will say at work or what will be said to you. This will energize you. The egoic mind not only worries about things it, and you cannot change it saps your energy and reduces your ability to be in the moment. It deprives you of seeing, experiencing and appreciating all that is good and rich and enjoyable around you.

As you experience this change in you, appreciate all that is available to you, just “smell the roses.”

At the end of the day, take time to release everything that has happened to you today. Most important disengage from the egoic mind. The day is past, you cannot change it, stopping the egoic mind form churning, on and on about what happened will not change anything, just, deplete you. Release everything and replace it with peace and quiet. If you are attuned, the Reiki Energy symbol Chu Kho Rei will add energy and dynamism to the release. Draw it on the palm of your hand or with your finger in the air in front of you. Let it help you be patient with yourself and the people, things, and events around you.

Lastly, before you go to sleep, think of patience and releasing everything that drains your energy. Let the universe know that you are OK, and that you are grateful for Reiki and that it is the universal life energy; it is the universe in the simplest and most elemental form. If you are attuned to Reiki, you will already be aware of this, if you are not yet attuned, now is the time to book a Reiki Session. It may not be in person because of the COVID pandemic, but a remote Reiki session is just as valuable. Just as effective. Embrace Reiki.

Vision Board

A vision board is a creative way to visualize the things you desire to manifest in your life.

Over the years I have created many vision boards, including ones that are text only. The intention behind the board is that creating or writing out what you want to manifest is a way of reinforcing your desires and communicating with your angels and guides as to what it is your need or want.

In the past I have created vision boards where the three big desires, health, wealth, and happiness are each described separately.

For example, I envisaged wealth as a pot of gold, and where do you find post of gold usually? At the end of a rainbow. So, I found images of rainbows and pots of gold, I even printed out the claim form of a lottery corporation and put them all together on my vision board.

For health I printed out pictures of myself when I was a lot lighter heavy and in better health. I looked at You Tube videos and wished to have good health to walk long distances to photograph landscapes.

For happiness, I decided that meant a female companion and printed images of women that stood in place for a style or type that I felt I could live and like as a companion.

The images were all glossy, clean and I have a magnetic clip board so I could put them up in combinations that seemed to speak my needs and intentions.

The images were all separated, the interconnection between them was lost. Wealth would give the house, condo, or physical space I needed but being healthy would help me enjoy it and much more to. I needed the companion to change physical space in to a home.

I rearranged the pictures so they were closer together, but there was still nothing that showed how one would work with another. The companion was not linked to the space I wanted to manifest and health remained separate as well.

My most recent vision board has no immaculate images, it is all on one large sheet of paper, and rather than pictures of rainbows and pots of gold, or pictures of me from history when I was fit and healthy, or ideal women who may not look like the one my angels have aligned for me, the drawings are simple stick figures and shapes.

As I drew each for my vision board I realized there were smaller things that needed to be included. With a companion I can take a much needed and better holiday than going on my own, or with friends I am not connected to. The relationship is now not an idealized version, or even someone I know. She is someone I am vacationing with and I accept that I have not met her yet and have no preconception of what she will look like, be like. We are shown as being happy together.

I drew a circle around each and showed how each connected to the other and those all connected to something else, rather like laces that close a shoe, the connections closed the small and big pictures into a whole.

I appear in each circle as a simple stick figure with the word ‘Happy’ next to me.

Things like health are indicated by simple words, ‘fit, trim, and healthy.’ The earlier board with images of me as I was in the past did not represent the now or the future. I am not interested I trying to relive or recreate an old me, I am interested in the new me that will come into existence.

The vision board in the end should not be perfect it is the unexpected that brings amazing things to our lives. The risk of a perfect vision board is that what we receive may not match what we see on the wall. We are disappointed because life did not live up to a perfect image and we may ignore what we are given.

Kundalini is energy. It is dormant at the bottom of the spine, in the Root Chakra until awakened. It has been there since birth as one of the gifts people receive.

Kundalini awakening offers a profound opportunity for those called to follow a spiritual path.  It gradually releases many patterns, conditions and delusions of the separate self.  It can be threatening to the ego-structure because a person may feel a loss of interest in their old life and identity, and consciousness may go into unfamiliar expansive or empty states that are disorienting.  It also makes people who are unfamiliar with it afraid they are ill or losing their minds. So, understanding it is important.[2]

Once awakened it travels up the central Nadi – also called Sushumna, alongside or inside of the spine, it depends on the awakening and the individual. As it travels, the energy flows through each Chakra generating various levels of mystical experience for the individual. When it reaches the Crown Chakra, a change in consciousness, some say profound change, takes place. The awakened person may use the brain to transmute the energy into the highest form of energy called ‘Ojas’.

Dumo is the Tibetan Master Symbol. It represents the swirling fiery heat of the kundalini. Dumo or Dumo fire is the heat which ascends over the spine as a result of kundalini awakening. The unification of mind and body produce the emanation of heat. Heat is the lowest range of vibrations, radiating out to produce form or body.

It ignites the Sacred flame or kundalini fire. As kundalini is awakened and ascends up the central channel, it revitalizes and energizes the centre of each chakra, purifying the astral channels related to each of the chakras.

Dumo unifies the mind and body and works with the fire in the base chakra. It rapidly travels from the healer’s brain/hand to the area of the receiver’s body where it is most needed.

Reversing the spiral in the Dumo Fire Symbol to clockwise direction, starting at the base, inner Ki expands to connect with Ki beyond the body. When the expansion is complete, the direction automatically reverses bringing Ki within. A spiral creates a vortex that intensifies the energy. It pulls negative energy and disease out of the body and releases it and heals the soul.

It can be used on crystals, asking the stones to self-clear henceforth and forever

Use when making flower or gem elixirs; add Dumo Symbol and Power Symbol to the water while they are infusing in the sun

Its focus is healing

Can also be used in the attunement process with Violet Breath.

Happiness

Our soul is on a journey, it is here to experience through the physical container of our bodies. There are many, many emotions and challenges faced by it as our life progresses. The greatest emotion we have is love, the other is happiness. Happiness, some would say is just a facet of love.

If happiness is a facet of love, the more we engage with it the more love. Happiness is an expression of emotion, it is the large things in life, it is also the small things. If it is a facet of love, then it is a facet we can express without engaging in a demonstration of love. Be happy with a nice cup of coffee, a piece of cake, a flower, a pet, a person. It does not mean any less than love but it is something we can demonstrate that does not reveal the deeper self.

Happiness, raises our spiritual vibration. There is a lightness to our feelings and thoughts when we are happy. The busy egoic mind cannot drag the feeling down, it cannot suppress happiness.

Happiness can be caused by many different things. Let’s focus in something you carry with you throughout your life. Memories. We all carry memories with us. The ones from childhood may be faded now, they may take time to recall, but I can still remember climbing my first tree above the height I could reach, and the excitement of looking down.

When I took my first scuba diving lesson, I can remember being overjoyed at sitting on the bottom of the pool and looking up at the rest of the class above me. I was happy because I seemed so at ease, I was happy because I was not scared, I was happy because I was not afraid. I was happy, well because I was happy at this new adventure.

Reach back in your memories for your won happy events and remember them. Look at the with your mind’s eye and help yourself to perfect them. Look at the colors, the weather, the voices, the music in them. Remember everything you can in the greatest detail.

If you are attuned to Reiki, sit quietly while you recall and perfect these memories and then use the Reiki power symbol Cho Ku Rei to give energy and power to each individual memory that is making you happy.

As you give the memory energy, look for the next memory. Choose a top ten of memories and add Reiki Power to each one. The idea is to use these memories to refresh your happiness give you a vibrational boost when you need it. You will find that over time, other happy memories will come to the front of your consciousness.

Bless each of these new memories with Reiki Power until you have many different memories, from different stages in your life that you can call on to give you Happiness as you recall them and look at them and relive them.

You have worked had through your life, your soul has experienced a lot of harsh and trying experiences. Happiness rebalances as it empowers you. Let it soak into your soul and warm you from the inside as you chuckle or laugh about the details of the physical existence when the Happy memory took place.
