Self Healing

Healing yourself. Self Healing. Self-Care. Since being attuned to Reiki as a Master Teacher and Practitioner, my focus has been outward to those who need reiki services and healing. Part of this is because I am healthy. It is hard to see that the gift I have received should be spent on me, and not others. Selfishness has become selflessness.

But there comes the time when a Reiki session for “me” has to be performed. Back ache, a sprained ankle or wrist, a violent cold. If I am not well, how can I help others.

The first thing you must agree on is that you have a right to be ill and you have a right to devote your attention to yourself. So many people, not just those attuned to Reiki forget this, they do not give themselves permission to devote their time and effort only to themselves.

When we spend time healing ourselves, we benefit others. We are able to give greater energy to the healing work we do that benefit those in need. If we are ill, we are not able to put the same level of energy into our sessions. When we heal ourselves, not only are we stronger ourselves but the essential energy of Reiki flows through us more clearly and effectively.

A person in need of healing does not want to hear that the person who is going to work with them to channel Reiki energy is sick and unwell. The immediate reaction is to decline the offer of a session, saying instead that the Reiki practitioner should get better first and turn away.

How to heal ourselves?

A self-Reiki session is the same as any Reiki session we do for another. The steps are the same, the actions and wishes are the same.

For me, I ask Archangel Michael to stand guard over the session. I do not want any dark or lower energies to interfere with the session. Hey must be banished and sent back to where they came from. I can think of no better guardian than the warrior Archangel.

I ask Archangel Michael to cut and destroy any energy or etheric cords that may be attached to me. They can drain my natural energy and take Reiki energy from me and a session I am involved in. I ask Archangel Michael to fill me with his pure white light and surround me with his protective energy.

Then, I follow the steps I would follow for any Reiki session where someone has a particular illness or problem. For example, if I have a painful sprain that is the focus of my ask and work with Reiki energy. Having some knowledge of what a sprain is, is important. Reduction of swelling, reduction of inflammation, healing of the tissues that have been torn or broken as a result of what caused the injury. Flushing out the scar tissue, circulating blood and nutrients to the site of the sprain to help the tissues heal. Use Cho Ku Rei, the Reiki Power Symbol to energize the healing session.

Form the specific to the general takes a moment. Cleaning and empowering the chakras. Removing any blocks that may be present. Clearing thoughts and feelings that may be blocking my ability to help others after this session is important. Clearing and unblocking thoughts that may be bocking me personally as needs attention. Think of the things that are blocking you. Look at the doubts, worries, fears, and anxieties need to be surrendered to the angels and guides. Use Cho Ku Rei, the Reiki Power Symbol to energize the healing session.

Self-Reiki sessions are not just for aches, pains, and sprains. Colds, and other illnesses and imbalances in our lives can also be the reason for conducting a self-Reiki session. Just being tired, perhaps because of people around you or the environment you are in all of a sudden. Being drained when you get home form a busy and challenging days is understandable, a self-Reiki session can help you rest at night and defuse the burdens you have brought home. Use Cho Ku Rei, the Reiki Power Symbol to energize the healing session.

At the end of the session, I thank my angels and guides as well as my Reiki guides for helping to heal me and restore the essential balance that keeps me on an even keel as well as balanced so I can help others. Use Cho Ku Rei, the Reiki Power Symbol to energize the end of this healing session.

The last thing I do is thank Archangel Michael for standing guard over the session.

Now it is time to take a moment for yourself, rest, and relax in the understanding that Reiki energy will be healing you.

Emotional Emptiness

Emotional emptiness can be the result of several things. Loss of a loved one, a loved pet, or a material objects or objects to which we have an attachment is one form of emptiness. An emotional void had opened because of a loss of something. Another form of emptiness is the lack of something we want or need. Lack of a person in our life, such as a father or mother figure, feeling the need for a brother or sister. We feel the need but cannot satisfy it.

Another form of emptiness is a disconnect between what we have and what we expect. We may have more friends and relatives than we need but we feel they are not living up to our needs or wants. We have a higher expectation of what they can do for us than what the person is able to provide.

This may be confusing and hurtful to us because when our expectations are not met, we can soon turn to feeling they do not think as much of us, as we think of them. Either we accept this and recognize the gap between our expectations and what the other person can deliver or we disengage from them. We may also come to terms with the level of expectation we are expecting others to be able to rise to. Perhaps those expectations are too high?

Reiki can help with these feelings and needs.

Reiki can help heal the void of emptiness we feel from a loss, or, an absence of something we cannot find in ourselves or the people and things around us.

The loss of someone or something relates to grief and a void. Reiki can help you focus on the happy memories and the reason why you feel loss. When someone or something leaves your life, it is because it is time for them or it to leave.

Their role in your life has been important and beneficial, now it is time for you to move. An overly strict parent may have been too strict and as a result, you feel scared, but as they pass out of your life, freedom and openness are now available to you. How you will manage your experience and memories with that parent and the life you make for yourself and the way you treat your own children will be defined by your past.

Reiki can help you through this change and forming the new behaviors and expectations you have of your life and others. Let it help you as you grow and change. The emptiness left by the strict parent can be filled with love and caring, openness and an ability to accept.

Emptiness resulting from absence, brings with it longing and sometimes doubt that you are worthy of receiving what it is you feel is missing. If you do not have a close loving relationship Reiki can help you be open to the opportunities to create a relationship with one special person that is around you.

Reiki can help you recognize what is good and fun around you that you can engage with. It will help you meet the person that is right and good for you by your being open to receive, not empty and trying to receive.

Engage with Reiki either as a receiver during an in-person Reiki session, or remotely, let it give you the rest you need to be able to think clearly and comfortably about your emptiness and where it comes from, why and how.

Engage with Reiki as a student and become attuned to Reiki. Teaching and helping others is part of your own healing process, through helping yourself, you are helping others.

Reiki is a flow of universal energy and can permeate all parts of you. It leaves no part of you unhealed when it enters you. While the unexpected challenges and surprises of life appear, it is a constant. As someone attuned to Reiki it something loving and caring ad fulfilling for yourself and loving and caring you provide to others. As you fill your emotional emptiness, so you also fill theirs.

Let Go

Letting go of attachments that are not doing you any good is part of the process of moving on bigger, brighter and new things that come into our life. An old relationship that once defined us but now you have not seen the other person for years, you have not heard from them, they are not part of either your physical or virtual social world and yet you still think of them almost every day.

Why?

It seems they have moved on from you, but you have not moved on from them. And it may not be simply a person. It could be something material. I am a photographer; I did a lot of work and had a lot of fun with some film cameras. I kept them in good cameras bags for years past the time when the world had moved on to digital cameras. But, one day, I decided to trade them in and go digital. Some would say I held on to the too long. If I had traded them in earlier, I would have gotten more for the value of my dear film cameras.

That value for value comparison might have been true but the timing was not right. The digital cameras heralded an explosion of creativity and a desire to get out and take images again. Now, you might say that the explosion of creativity was waiting for me to trade my film cameras in, but the fact was, that the new physical camera and lenses in my hands made me want to go out, the film cameras did not. It was timing. Time to open to the door to getting out and doing what you should be doing and allowing what needs to come into your life to do so.

So, when it comes to releasing relationships, even when they are to physical and material things, we need to consider the timing.

Being open to releasing what should no longer being part of your life is important. Reiki can help. As I became attuned to different levels of Reiki, I became aware of my angels and guides and the roles they play, in my life and their ability to help me.

When I want to release something, anything from my life I will take a moment to do so. Usually, this is in the evening after all the business of the day has ended and before I go to sleep, or, it might be on a Saturday or Sunday. I mentioned those days of the week because there is usually time when the action of releasing can go longer if needed.

Trying to release when I know that in a few minutes I will have to get dressed and leave to go to work can be negative and stressful. It places too much burden on me and my angels and guides. It limits my ability to channel the Reiki energy to the emotions and thoughts I want to release.

When I have quiet time I:

Clear my mind of busy egoic mind. Egoic mind loves to go over and over the same things, churning a mix of confusion and regret, things that are passed and cannot be changed, churning “what might have been, what could have been” but which can never be now.

Recognize what is that needs to be released and engage Reiki to help with this. Ask your angels and guides to be present to help with the release. With your finger, draw Chu Kho Rei, the Reiki Power symbol on the palm of your hand and ask for its energy to help you release.

Recognize what it is you want to release. Remember, what you release is not what you have learned from the relationship with a person or something material. Those experiences will always remain with you. What you are releasing is seemingly never-ending attachment that is stopping you accepting new things and people into your life.

As you release and close off egoic mind from churning on those people and things, consider that you are not empty of the experiences.

As you release, affirm you are open to new people and things entering your life. You are not just open; you are happy and looking forward to and accepting of the changes these new people and things will bring.

There is no fear, doubt, worry, anxiety or confusion about what or why you are accepting.

There is no limitation on what you are open to receive. Reiki will support your free will to reject something that is not good for you. You have that right to say NO, but you have to be open to seeing what you are saying no to. Don’t make the mistake of saying NO before understanding what it is you are declining.

As you used the Reiki Power symbol to add energy to your desire to release, now draw it again on your palm with the intention of giving energy to being accepting of new things coming in to your life.

Lastly, and this can come now or later, recognize that what you learned from the experience of having that relationship or thing in your life is different from what you have released which is attachment to them or it and the churning over what might have been/could have been but which can never be. What we have learned is important, it will always be part of you. What you have released is not important.

Release is part of healing. Do not place any pressure of expectation of how long it will take. It will not be instantaneous, it may be a few hours, or a few days. You know you are healing when you realize you are not thinking about the relationship or the material thing you are releasing.

Close the session by thanking your angels and guides for their role in helping you release.

If you are not attuned to Reiki, book a Reiki Session with a professional. It may be in person or remote. They will help you release what should go. They will help you be open to new experiences entering your life.

Cord Cutting

Cord Cutting. Cords are connections. They may be attached to our physical selves, our soul, our spirit, our aura, or one or more of our chakras. They may be connected to any one or several or all of these things.

In our Reiki Manual I, the chakras are explained as energy centres within the body that give is purpose, energy, intention and motivation. A link is provided to the publication below.

Cods can be many things. The simplest is the unseen, but never the less important role of draining our energy. This maybe a relationship, a colleague at work or friends. They have a need and in us they see a source of energy to fill them. They take energy form us rather than deal with the issues and problems they face by themselves. It maybe that they have become so used to a situation that drains their energy that they see the answer to the problem being to take energy from another.

These cords are draining and destructive to us. They should be cut. The energy within our physical selves, our soul, our spirit, our aura, or one or more of our chakras is for us, it is precious and we need to take care of it and the part of our presence they are attached to.

There are cords that are beneficial to us such as our connection with a loved one or a very loved pet. The cords may also attach to things that give us great energy and are uplifting for us. These cords can and should remain because the energy given to us by a loving relationship or a solid friendship is given freely and we respond to it mutually by giving back.

There are many different ways to cut cords. I prefer to call on Archangel Michael. He is an archangel in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. In Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, and Lutheran systems of faith, he is called Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Michael. In the Oriental Orthodox and Eastern Orthodox religions, he is called Saint Michael the Taxiarch. In other Protestant churches, he is referred to as Archangel Michael. [1]

In the New Testament, Michael leads God’s armies against Satan’s forces in the Book of Revelation, where during the war in heaven he defeats Satan. In the Epistle of Jude, Michael is specifically referred to as “the archangel Michael”. Sanctuaries to Michael were built by Christians in the 4th century, when he was first seen as a healing angel. Over time his role became one of a protector, and the leader of the army of God against the forces of evil. [2]

There are many ways to cut the cords that are draining us, my preferred way is to ask the archangel to use his sword to cut the cords. At the moment I ask for his help I visualize cords that are draining me. I do not visualize any specific places of attachment, or the damage the cords may be doing. The Archangel is well able to identify the cords and deal with them.

At the end I ask him to fill me with his divine white light and surround me with his protective energy to help ward of any further attachments.

Finally, I thank him for the cord cutting.

Usually when I follow this process, I am sitting quietly at home, in the morning before the full start of my day, or, in the evening at the end of the day. But there are times, during the day, after I have interacted with a person or situation that is obviously toxic and not beneficial to me. I will mentally go through the process, even if it means doing so at the back of an elevator! Yes, an elevator. My feeling about what I had been involved with was so negative that I felt I needed his help right there and then.

The archangel Michael is limitless, he can be in all places at all times, helping people that call on him for help. So, don’t feel that you have to have a special timeslot to ask him for help. Just ask!

Breathing

There is no life on earth that does not breathe. Every living thing extracts and uses Oxygen. Even fish and all other sea creatures that swim under the surface of the water, breathe, they filter water through their gills and membranes to extract oxygen from the water. Plants breathe and take in oxygen to develop and grow.

Oxygen and is a necessity and breathing, no matter the form it takes, links all living things together, no matter what form we take or the environment in which we exist.

Inside us, oxygen passes to all parts of our bodies in our blood. The blood and the oxygen feed the process of converting nutrients form the food we eat into energy to allow us to run, jump, and play. It allows us to work and challenge ourselves. Typing this blog post required energy, to think, create sentences and move my hands to type the letters on the key board.

The quality of the air we breathe has an impact on our bodies. Have you noticed how when you visit the sea or a large body of water, you feel more energized from the experience? That is because there are less pollutants in the air from the busy city world.

Breathing is an important tool in yoga and meditation. Our breathing is one of the autonomic functions. The autonomic nervous system regulates a variety of body process that takes place without conscious effort. The autonomic system is the part of the peripheral nervous system that is responsible for regulating involuntary body functions, such as heartbeat, blood flow, breathing, and digestion.[1]

Because of this, when we meditate, or perform yoga, we can use our breathing like a musician uses a metronome. We can concentrate on its rhythm to help our mind change pace and be restful, because as we are at rest, our breathing slows.

Taking time each morning, and evening when you return home, to slow down by listening to your breathing slows the wear and tear on your system form the day’s activities, especially if you are in a stressful environment during the day.

If you are attuned to Reiki, you will know of and understand the Chakras, energy centres in your body. There are seven of them. What I call Chakra Maintenance is important. Visualize each as a ball of energy rotating in its own space and interacting with the next one in the sequence. For example, the root Chakra provides energy and motivation to the Sacral Chakra, and the Sacral to the Solar Plexus.

Woman meditating in lotus position. Colored chakra lights over her body. Yoga, zen, Buddhism, recovery and wellbeing concept.

Many different things are credited to the Chakras, for example, the Throat Chakra helps us speak clearing and with purpose. Blockages may also appear in the Chakras that prevent us from being fully in the now, in the moment. They are explained in my Reiki Student Manual I available on Amazon – link below.

To use our breathing with meditation we should:

  • Find time for it. Don’t rush through it. There are no certificates of achievement for how quickly you can complete your meditation. What is important is your connection to your inner self and your Chakras. If you cannot find the time, then it is the wrong time to attempt it.
  • The quality of your meditation is more important than the length of time you spend.
  • Consistency is important. If you cannot manage to meditate daily, then every other day. Or, maybe you will do it weekly.
  • As we mentioned, breathing is part of the autonomic system in our bodies. We can change the rhythm of its cycle only so much before the system takes back control. It must take control because of the needs of the body. Do not get stressed out because the rhythm you would like to set for your mediation is not sustained. The important thing is you have set a foundation for the session.
  • Breath in slowly and fully and be aware of your body as it brings in air. The change in your chest and the feeling of fullness, a full breath in gives you. I am not a fan of holding on to the breath because your body has to exhale the air it has just inhaled along with the nitrogen and other toxic remains of previous breaths. Holding that in does not benefit you.
  • What does benefit you is feeling that inward movement of air and the expelling of toxic remains, slowing it down and being fully invested in the process helps you connect with nature and all things around you and places you as part the living world.
  • Depending on your level of attunement you will have various Reiki symbols available to you. Chu Ku Rei is the Reiki Power symbol. Visualize it, or draw it on a sheet of paper before you start so you can look at it while you are meditation… yes, meditation with eyes open is very acceptable. So long as you are not distracted by the world around you!
  • Having an image of the location of each chakra in your mind can also be useful. I think of the Heart Chakra as being a place where I love from. I send love to people, animals and things that matter to me, even loved ones that have passed over. Throat chakra needs to be clear and energized so that I may speak loudly, clearly and choose the correct words for the ideas I want to pass on. Third eye is the chakra that helps me connect with and see the world through my intuition. Crown chakra is my mind, not my busy mind. Clarity will allow me to reason better and create intention in my life and help me manifest what I want and need.
  • At the end. There is time for peace. There is time to recognize the wonderful person I am. How I have dealt with the trials and tribulations of physical life. There is time to think how I am connected to the greater energized world. This is when I tell myself, hand over heart that I am happy, proud, or simply love myself for all I have done and the lessons learned from what I have endured.

As the meditation ends, I move back into eth hear and now. If my eyes have been closed, they are now open, but they were open all along, they are now focusing on the physical world.

Release Stuck Emotions

Our guardian angels, our guides are with us every second of every minute of every hour while we are physically alive. They see and hear everything but will not interfere unless we ask them to. Humans have free will and unless we tell our guides we need their help, or, ask them for help, they will not take any action. Ask them to help Release Stuck Emotions.

They can help us connect with all our angels, archangels, Ascended Masters and council of guides through the earthly grounding technique. As I have mentioned before. I am lucky to live close to a large lake, I can sit on a park bench with the shoes off and feel the soil under my feet and the grass between my toes. I ask my guides to help me clear my mind so that I may concentrate on the grounding I feel from Mother Earth – Gaia.

When you think of how much walking we do, how much weight and strain is placed on our legs and feet, even a short rest where they can feel the grounding of Mother Earth can be beneficial for them and to us overall.

It is at this time I may also ask archangel Michael to be present and to stand guard over me. I am releasing negative energies, emotions, feelings and thoughts that that are not serving any purpose and need to be gone from my soul. As I release these energies and I feel more grounded, the result is I feel more at ease and happier with myself.

Crystals can help lifting the energies that are not benefiting you anymore. I prefer Rose Quartz and Zebra Jasper.

When you buy crystals, they will have passed through many hands and come into contact with a great many energies. Your first task is to cleans the crystals of those energies. This can be as simple as leaving them buried just under the surface of the soil in a plant pot for a couple of days. The remove them and clean them off and your angels and guides to help make the crystals yours by infusing them with your energy. From that moment forward the crystals are yours and should not be touched by anyone else. I carry mine in my pockets, but you can buy crystals made into jewelry if you prefer.

With the COVID pandemic there are all sorts of new stressors in our life. The person behind or next to you is not practicing social distancing, they are not wearing a mask. They seem ill but try and explain the symptoms away as being seasonal allergies. Someone at work has been diagnosed with the virus, what will happen to the rest of us?

All of these new stressors are added to the old ones our busy mind ego likes to worry about. Our job, toxic people at work, tiring, boring and repetitive work. Those are still al there, worrying us in an undercurrent that is sapping our energy.

Carrying and holding the crystals and being in tough with our angels and guides, being grounded and calm, will help dissolve the worry our ego creates. Asking our angels and guides to take away our worries will all help to calm you.

If you are attuned to Reiki a calm self-Reiki session at the end of the day, or the beginning, which ever you prefer will also help to affirm yourself love and compassion.

It can also help if you write down the stressors and things that your ego is pushing you to worry about. The things you write down will be at the top of the list, the top ten if you like to look at it that way. As the worries drop away you can check them off your list.

At the end of your quiet time, at the end of the self-Reiki these negative energies will have gone and you will be happy and relaxed. Thank you, angels and guides, for their help and ask for their help in continuing to maintain your balance and your equilibrium.

If you are attuned to Reiki, you can add the power symbol Chu Ku Rei at the opening and closing of your session[s]. It will add Reiki energy and potency to the session as you conduct it.

Healthy Boundaries

Setting Healthy Boundaries with people is one of the best things you can do for yourself with the help of Reiki.

Some people refer to boundaries as a form of self-protection, a way of building a wall that keeps certain people, places, and events out of their personal space. This is an example of their self-respect; this reassurance of self-esteem helps remove negativity from life. The end result is they are happier in the knowledge their space will not or cannot be impinged on.

If you are attuned to Reiki, using the universal energy in Reiki to help set these boundaries is powerful and mysterious.

Think for a moment how you feel when someone imposes their will on you. They have it in their mind that events in your life should proceed at a pace they set and have no regard for your feelings, emotions or expectations. You are not at someone else’s beck and call; you are not a skivvy to their beck and call. I know from experience that I do not like and resent people who have this opinion of me. I resent the manipulation they try to impose when they feel their control slipping.

It is important to remember that people learn from you how it is they are to treat you. It is you and you alone who are in charge of your life. When you make that known, you have established your boundaries, boundaries that keep you ascending your own vibrational ladder.

Reiki is a powerful tool for helping to set and maintain boundaries. Reiki works for the greatest good of all, and ego cannot influence Reiki. As a Reiki Practitioner, we are a conduit for the flow of Reiki Energy. We do not decide what it does or where it goes, it is intelligent so let Reiki energy do its thing, let it improve our lives.

Boundaries can be created using Reiki in many different ways.

Learn to say No! No, is not selfish. It tells others that what they are asking or indirectly hinting at it suggesting does not work for you, is not something you want to do or be a part of. No does not require an explanation. Stand firm on No if you really mean it and would be unhappy if you said yes!

If you know you will have to say no in a meeting or Infront of a group of people, find a moment when you can practice the scene, who says what and how and why. Do this with closed eyes and with a clear call to your Reiki guides for strength and clarity about what you are going to do in the meeting.

Also, think about the Throat Chakra. You will be speaking this Chakra is important. It needs to be clear, balanced and full of energy.

In today’s world, it is often the case that we will have to speak for ourselves without the other person being present. It could be a phone call, or telephone conference call. It could be an email, or a video conference call. Again, preparation is similar to the steps described previously only this time it is not a one-to-one meeting but a group. Make your statement clear and politely, do not engage in any verbal or other challenges. Tell them what your boundaries are, what you accept and what you will not. If you are speaking give Reiki Strength to your Throat Chakra. Even if you are sending an email, send energy to your Reiki Chakra. I always find it best to spend some time re-reading an email, even speaking it out loud quietly to myself.

When it comes to people and relationships, no matter how you say no, it may be that you have to end the relationship of someone you know or have known but who is no longer part of your life, but they have left a legacy that still brings them into your life.

It is best to be quiet and have a piece of paper and pencil Infront of you. Write their name at the top of the paper. If your writing is not that clear, write the name slowly and clearly.

Underneath write – “I release this person and attached emotions and all forms of connection from my life with love and peace.” I find that drawing the Reiki Power symbol Cho Ku Rei in the centre of the page with smaller versions in each corner help to seal the words and the wishes. You can burn the paper, shred it and put it in the Recycling.

When you choose to do this it maybe that you do not have pencil and paper conveniently available. I put my hands together in Gassho and say the person’s name and the words three times. I draw the Reiki Power Symbol, Cho Ku Rei, three times as I say the person’s name and draw the symbol in the air with my finger.

In all of this, setting boundaries is not a selfish act, it an act of self-assurance and love for yourself. As you respect others it is only writing and fitting that you receive respect from others. Oh, and by the way, the same goes for family members. When we are young, it is OK to let parents set some of our boundaries, but as we mature and become adults, it is time for us to set our own.

Connecting with Reiki

If you are attuned to Reiki you have a relationship to Reiki. That relationship is more than being a mechanic repairing cars. Reiki is an integral part of your being, of your personality and your soul and you are connecting with Reiki

You are a conduit for Reiki energy. In a sense you never really stop giving Reiki, even if you do not call it Reiki. You are living and breathing the essential source of life and love that is part of Reiki energy. In essence you are Reiki.

In this COVID-19 era, in person sessions can be difficult to conduct. Remote Reiki session where the Reiki Practitioner connects with another person without that physical in person relationship is key to helping others with Reiki energy. I always ask permission of the recipient to send them Reiki. It is not that Reiki is not intelligent and will help them if sent, but some people do not understand the feelings and results associated with receiving Reiki Energy.

Don’t forget Reiki energy may help in the healing of the recipient or it may not. The outcome may be more or less than the recipient expects. It may also be unexpected and have a different focus than you intended but the ultimate goal is beneficial.

I once sent Reiki to someone who was under a lot of stress with work and a very sick mother in hospital. Elder brothers and sisters had “off loaded” their responsibility to the younger sister who bore this well but accepted Reiki to help her cope.

She woke up the next morning with a splitting headache and when asked what her duties to her mother would be that day, she loudly voiced her anger at bearing the responsibilities alone. The outcome by lunchtime was a considerable realignment of obligations and the head ache went away and never reappeared. Reiki energy had created a situation that sparked a rebalancing of the burdens, and admiration and love for the younger sister for all she had been doing without her siblings fully knowing.

Whether you use symbols or not in your Remote Reiki session is determined by how you are guided. It is also determined by your connection to Reiki. Some practitioners will use Reiki symbols, and other will not, some may only use symbols such as Cho Ku Rei the power symbol. If you are able to connect with reiki in a way that does not require symbols, then so be it – use that connection to the fullest. Explore the connection and develop it in a way that best suits you and how you practice. Be at one with reiki and it will tell you what is needed.

Healing Bubbles

Reiki Healing Energy Bubbles what are the and how can they help you, a Reiki Practitioner. As a practitioner, you are aware Reiki energy and the energy of the Archangels can come to you in different ways, and with diverse messages attached to it.

An energy bubble can be many things, each meaning different and valid for each practitioner. Generally, to me a Reiki energy Bubble something like a Reiki Energy Multi Vitamin with distinctive energies and strength of energy.

The bubble will take on a different colour depending on who and why it is being created. There is a lot being prepared for the recipient so you have to clearly focus your mind and intention on the outcome you want.

To be open to this energy you need to be grounded, spiritually and emotionally. At this time of year, summer in Norther America, it is easy to find a park bench at my favourite spot by the lake and take off my sandals and let my feet connect me to grounding Reiki energy and Mother Earth, Gaia.

Be patient for the grounding energy to make itself felt. I usually find some tingling in my feet, especially my toes, and it moves up into my legs. The sense of being grounded is palpable.

Archangel Raphael is the healing Archangel. When preforming a Reiki session, remote or in person, asking for him to be present and to join in the session is always advantageous for the recipient. If the recipient if remote form you, therefore you are doing a remote Reiki session, draw the remote healing symbol Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen in the air in front of you as you focus your intention on the healing you are sending to the recipient.

This energy bubble you are creating either for yourself or another is an open bubble. There is no exclusion. If another Archangel appears, or a guide and they want to participate, all the better their energy adds to the potency of the energy you are creating.

The intention of healing is to heal, so visualize the person healed and removed from the discomfort and any pain they are in. If you visualize an outcome, such as manifestation of wealth or abundance, in your mind see it completed.

If manifestation means something for yourself, not only be clear in your intent to manifest but also tell the universe you are open to receive exactly what you ask for or something better. Declining something is to send the universe a message is dislike and rejection. Always be open to receive what the universe sends you, not what you dream you would like.

As you close the session, seal it with Cho Kho Rei, the Reiki Power Symbol to give the bubble and all that is in its potency and energy. Give the bubble your intent that the bubble be delivered to the recipient, or yourself if it is for you.

I usually visualize the bubble being an energy source for the Root Chakra. Bind it to the root Chakra so that all the energy in the bubble washes over and permeates the Root Chakra. The energy flows upward form the root to all the chakras and channels in the body.

If there are any energy stream from one Chakra to the next, Archangel Metatron and Archangel Raphael together can be called on to remove the blockages.

If one Chakra in particular needs healing energy, you can send the bubble of healing energy to that chakra directly. The bubble will contain what the chakra needs to heal.

Raphael is associated with green and the emerald crystal, not the gemstone, is his crystal. Raphael is associated with the Heart chakra. You can use the crystal by placing it over the Heart Chakra, or if remote visualizing the crystal there and glowing.

Mother Earth, or Gaia

So many things are affecting the planet we live on. Mother Earth, or Gaia [I will use Gaia from now on] is heavily affected by all that Mankind is doing. Each one of us shares responsibility for our actions that affect her. Even something as simple as throwing bottle or can into the bushes rather than holding on to it and disposing of it properly.

As an example, that bottle or can throwing into some bushes soils and dirties the plants growing there, provides somewhere for disease and insects to grow and is not recycled as it should be resulting in more minerals taken from Mother Earth which is unnecessary.

Gaia nurtures, and grounds us. She provides the water we drink and a place to sleep. She provides land for us to grow our crops and our animals. Day after day, month after month, year after year she does this and forgives the mistakes we make and provides for us unconditionally by granting us a new season to grow what we need.

When we are attuned to Reiki, we can perform a simple self-Reiki session, it only takes 10 minutes a day, either at the start or end of the day. It calms our worried minds and thoughts.

When we are sitting quietly and asking Archangel Michael to stand guard over the session, to protect the session from any dark or lower energies, any energies that should not be there. That is the time to ask Gaia to participate in the session.

As you settle down to the self-Reiki meditation draw the Reiki Symbols over our chest and ask Gaia to lend energy and potency to the session for ourselves. Be open to Gaia communicating with you, sometimes in words, other times in colours and images. On some occasions, Gaia will be provided feelings such as heat and warmth to help with the session.

Because this is a self-Reiki session, any information, feelings or information you have received from Gaia is for you alone.

As always, at the end of the session, thank your Reiki Guides and angels and archangels, and all who support us and the session that has just ended. Thank Gaia for joining. Thank Archangel Michael for guarding the session.

Reiki is a spiritual journey; it is not a discipline. Be accepting of the unexpected gifts and benefits that Reiki brings you. If you decide you will ask Gaia to help you in your next self-Reiki session, accept what gifts she gives you and how she helps you. As you ask for her help more often you will become comfortable with her and the way she communicates. Eventually, the time will come for you to ask her to help when conducting sessions for others.
